We are on a trip Tuesday to Muddy Hands and Thursday is world book day. Our book is The Twits which the children have really enjoyed.
We went into the school garden to look for signs of Spring. The children took some lovely photos of the flowers that they found.
Our topic after half term is Never Eat Shredded Wheat. Topic webs have gone home tonight.
It is a geography topic. For pre learning talk to your children about compass points and go for a walk discussing what you can see.
In maths we will be looking at length and subtraction.
This week we have been printing castles and writing fairy tales.
Next week is assessment week. We will be assessing the children’s addition and subtraction skills, including their knowledge of number bonds.
In English we will be completing our borrower stories, the children have worked really hard on them and have produced some lovely work.
In topic we will be completing our talking books. Encourage children to practice changing their voices to become a character.
In phonics we will be looking at the different spelling of /d/ and in spellings we will be looking at the ‘soft c’
