Next week

Next week we will be taking part in some short reading and maths assessments. Including addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and fractions.

We will also be rehearsing for our assembly which will take place on Thursday. We still need a Woody costume, a buzz light year costume and a Victorian boy and girl costume. If anybody has anything we could use it would be greatly appreciated.
On Thursday we are going to begin our superhero writing. Can all children please bring with them a picture of their favourite superhero.

Next week

Next week will be our phonics screening. I posted a link last week to a wonderful website where children can practice their decoding.

In maths we will be using our number facts to add and subtract.

In English we will be writing a recount about a time we have been very naughty. Oh dear!

In the afternoons we will start rehearsing for our class assembly and be looking at our family trees and baby photographs.

Just a friendly reminder, it is really important your child reads at home. Please make sure you are reading with your child at least four times a week and sign in their planners. Children will lose a dojo point if they have not read. Thank you for all your hard work with homework and reading. It is making a huge difference.
